Here are a few of our favourite events, sure to entertain young and old!

Birdman Rally
It’s famous the world over for its take on creativity and community spirit, but locally we know the Birdman Rally to be the height of entertainment at Moomba. Participants will don homemade flying machines, and take to the skies – before hitting the Yarra with a splash.
Sunday, noon.

Moomba Parade
Winding it’s way along St Kilda Road, the Moomba Parade features our King and Queen – Shane Warne and Pallavi Sharda. Community groups will display their cleverly designed floats while thousands of Melburnians line the streets and cheer. Sing, dance and celebrate.

Waterskiing
With athletes participating in waterskiing and wakeboarding competitions across the four days of the festival, you are sure to see some high flyers and cool moves on the Yarra. The number one male and female wakeboarders, Harley Clifford and Amber Wing will be participating in this years Moomba Masters, so bring along a picnic rug and set up camp on the banks of the river.

Fireworks
Melburnians love their fireworks and Moomba won’t disappoint, with the coloured explosions lighting up the sky on Saturday, Sunday and Monday night at 9.30pm. Pack a picnic and watch from the banks of the Yarra, or head to theEureka Skydeck and watch the pyrotechnics from up on high.

Of course there are plenty of activities for kids, musical acts to listen to and dance displays to participate in. Check outthatsmelbourne.com.au/Moomba for all the details, and don’t forget to pack the sunscreen!
