There are a number of spots around Richmond and the city to brunch, lunch, wine or dine before and after the tennis, but here are a few favourites complete with transport options to really make your Australia Open experience memorable.

Start the day bright and early by enjoying a sumptuous breakfast with a glass of bubbles at La Camera Southgate, then make your way to Rod Laver via a water taxi. Breakfast and taxi $30.

Leaving a little later? The Deck, also at Southgate, is offering a 2 ($39.50) or 3 ($49.50) course lunch and dinner menu, including a glass of wine and a water taxi to the tennis. Dine at 11am for the lunch service, or 5pm for dinner, before a night session at Rod Laver Arena.

BearBrass also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner packages, including a water taxi trip, across the Australian Open. Breakfast is $30 and lunch/dinner is $48 from a set menu.

Pure SOuth

If you are attending the tennis with a corporate group, or perhaps looking for something a little more romantic to start your night, head to Pure South for a decadent 2 course dinner, complete with a glass of premium wine or beer and an included water taxi trip to the front door of Rod Laver.

These businesses will take care of your dining and all taxi bookings, so all you need do is make sure you book your tennis tickets at ticketek.com.

If you’ve still got the energy after the last ball of the day has bounced off the court, head to Birrarung Marr for the Royal Croquet Club, a fusion of food, music and croquet – perfect for Melbourne summer nights. Eat, drink, play and dance the night away from Jan 16 to Feb 1.
